Orders, receipts, your payment card and the yearly renewal are all there. Sign in with the email you bought with — there is no password. The portal emails you a one-time sign-in link.
How signing into the portal works
Our billing is handled by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record for every purchase, so your order history lives with them rather than with us. Their portal does not use accounts or passwords:
- Enter the email address you used at checkout.
- A sign-in link arrives in that inbox. Open it and you are in.
If the link does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder and check that you used the same email address from your original receipt. The link in the receipt itself opens to the same portal.
What you can do in the portal
- Download a receipt or invoice for any order.
- Update the payment card on the yearly plan.
- Cancel or resume the yearly renewal. Canceling stops future charges; your license runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and Pro features switch off when it ends. Nothing you built is deleted — every setting stays in place and comes back if you reactivate. See section 6 of the terms.
- The 3-year plan is a single payment. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel. After 3 years, if you want to continue using the advanced map features, purchase another 3-year for a single payment or a yearly subscription which auto-renews on the anniversary of your original purchase.
Who is Lemon Squeezy
Lemon Squeezy is a payments company that sells software on behalf of the people who make it. It has been owned by Stripe, one of the largest payment processors in the world, since 2024. When you buy Knowco US Map Pro they are the seller of record, which means:
- Your card details go to them, never to us. The checkout, the card processing and the security around it are theirs. We never see or store a card number.
- Handle sales tax or VAT wherever you are, and issue the receipt and invoice.
- They hold your billing record. Orders, receipts, your payment card and the yearly renewal live in their customer portal, which is why this page keeps sending you there.
- The charge on your card statement shows their name first, as LEMSQZY* followed by our store name, or as Lemon Squeezy LLC, depending on your bank. If you see it and do not recognize it, that is what it is.
- Refunds go back through them to the card you paid with.
Their buyer terms and privacy policy cover the purchase itself; ours cover the plugin and the license. Section 4 of our privacy policy lists what they pass to us: your email address, the license key and the status of the subscription.
Your license key
The key was emailed to you at purchase, from Lemon Squeezy. In WordPress it is entered under US Map → License, which shows whether it is active and the date it runs to.
- Two sites per key. To move it, click Deactivate on this site on the old site first, then activate on the new one. Staging copies of a site you have already licensed do not need their own seat.
- Renewal reminders. Thirty days before the license ends, the License screen shows a warning with a link to renew.
Writing to us about a license? Include the email you bought with and the last four characters of the key — never the whole key. That is enough for us to find the order, and the key is a credential worth keeping to yourself.
Refunds
Thirty days, no justification needed. Email support@knowco.co to request a refund from the email address you used to purchase the license key, along with the last four characters of your key. Please allow 48 hours for us to process your request. The refund through Lemon Squeezy can take up to 10 days for funds to show on your bank or card statement.
For anything else about your purchase that the portal does not cover, the contact page covers what information to include so we can respond efficiently to your request.
