Then install it in WordPress
- Install and activate the free Knowco US Map plugin first, if the site does not have it yet (download it here). Pro adds to it and needs it.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin and click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
- Choose the
knowco-us-map-pro.zipfile you downloaded, as it is — don't unzip it. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin. - Go to US Map → License, paste the same key and click Activate.
That is the only manual install. While your license is active, new versions arrive on WordPress's own Updates screen like any other plugin. You only need this page again to set up another site.
Got a folder instead of a .zip on a Mac? Safari unzips downloads on its own, and WordPress needs the zip itself. In Safari, open Settings → General, untick Open “safe” files after downloading and download again — or use another browser.
If the download doesn't start
- Check the key. It is in your receipt email from Lemon Squeezy: 36 characters in five groups separated by dashes. Copy all of it.
- A license that has ended can't download. The 3-year plan ends three years after purchase, and a canceled yearly plan ends when its paid year does. Buying again restores the download and updates.
- Download it from Lemon Squeezy instead. Every order is also kept at app.lemonsqueezy.com/my-orders. Enter the email you bought with, open the sign-in link they email you, open your Knowco US Map Pro order and click Download.
- Still stuck? Email support@knowco.co from the address you bought with, and include the last four characters of your key — never the whole key.
Your key is checked by our own update server, the same one WordPress uses for Pro updates, and is not saved in your browser.
